Help Me Write a Zombie Christmas Carol!

Hey Shannon here!
So Matt and I are working on a super secret Zombie Holiday Carols project. Okay, maybe not super secret, but working none the less.

Alas, I am not as witty as Matt, and therefore I need help finishing up "Icy the Zombie" (to the tune of Frosty the Snowman). As I am currently unable to get Matt's help because we're on different schedules, we probably won't be able to get together before we record in about 48 hours. Plus I always believe that the creativity of a group is better than just me.

So I'm turning to all you Twitter friends out there! Help me finish this song and get a shout out from the ZBBC on Twitter and on our site, a writing credit for the song, plus a holiday card from us! (And I'll even snail mail it!)

To help, just post your suggestion into to comment section or email us if you'd prefer before 11:59 THURSDAY, DECEMBER 15, 2011. I'll announce the winner via twitter in the early AMs of Friday morning (which I think is when we're recording).

And onto the challenge! Here's what I have so far:

Icy the Zombie was a smelly undead bloke -
With a haunting moan and a taste for brains
And and stench that'd make you choke.

(I'll admit, this verse could use some work, and the part in italics I really don't like.)
Icy the Zombie is a horror tale they say.
It was just a show yet survivors know
How he came to life one day.

There must have been some virus in that
Old test tube they found
For when it broke upon his head
He began to jerk around

Oh! Icy the Zombie was undead as he could be
Something something something
He hungered for you and me
(And can you guess that's where I need help?)

Munchetty munch munch
Munchetty munch munch
Look at Icy snack!
Munchetty munch munch
Munchetty munch munch
Watch for an attack!

So there we go. The song so far. I particularly like the 3rd verse. Pretty good writing if I do say so myself. So now we can look at problem parts in detail.

Frosty /Icy
Oh Frosty the snowman /Oh Icy the zombie
was alive as he could be /was undead as he could be
And the children say he could laugh and play /???????
Just the same as you and me /He hungered for you and me

Okay guys! I'm totally stumped. What are your suggestions? Leave them in the comment section!

First Blog Post Evah!

Hey guys, James here with the ZBBC and welcome to our blog! This first post isn't really about content, it is more or less a test page to see how this will in work conjunction with our website. The basic layout looks really good so far!

Kirk getting the shot
Here's an image of Kirk for the sake of testing it out. I was going to originally externally link from the webpage to the blog but then I had the idea to embed in our actual website instead.

The one drawback to this is that visitors to the blog from outside of the webpage won't get as graphically pleasing of an experience. There may be some ways for us to manage both, we'll just have to see.

For the time being, I think this is going to be a pretty good solution. I'm running out of things to say here... but also thought you should see this. If it doesn't bring a smile to your face, you're either heartless or a zombie (the difference of me wanting to metaphorically kill you or actually kill you - I'll let you decide which is for whom).

Thanks for stopping by and be on the lookout for more spectacular blog posts from our writer Shannon!
